Meet the Team Behind HR Tech Fest

be said for bringing together an amazing event like HR Tech Fest. So who is this “villageâ€'? Who actually coordinates all the emails, ticket sales, logistics, program creating and general amazingness of HR Tech Fest?

Some incredible people, that's who.

Read on to find out a bit more about The Eventful Group team who brings HR Tech Fest to life.

Alex Koeninger Alex Koeninger – Events Director

Name an event task and chances are Alex does it. Jack of all trades (and master of quite a few too), Alex oversees all the logistical details that go into our event. From the AV requirements to putting the lollies in the bowls, he's our Eventful duck – all calm on the surface but paddling furiously below the water. Quack quack!

Random fact: Alex has over 200 individual items to check off for each event we run. He also drinks A LOT of coffee.

Simon Yeowart Simon Yeowart – Conference Producer

Just call him Sherlock: Simon scours the globe to find the people and stories that make up the wonderful HR Tech Fest program. From the international big hitters to the local success stories, Simon hunts down the world's most exciting speakers to create a truly inspiring program of sessions. Your only complaint will be that it's too hard to choose which track to attend!

Fun Fact: Simon still dines out on the story of when he beat World Number 3 Andy Murray at Tennis! (He often fails to mention it was in 1998 mother and son mixed doubles)

Jamie Carroll Jamie Carroll – Alliances Manager

When you're sipping a free coffee, charging your phone at the Social Hub, or quenching your thirst with a free bottle of water, Jamie's the guy to thank. Jamie's done a fantastic job at securing the hottest and most innovative HR tech vendors to bring you creative and useful experiences in the solutions showcase.

Fun fact: Jamie's just become a first time dad- he's currently busy navigating his way round a nappy.

Debra Burgio Debra Burgio – Speaker and Partner Care

Deb's motto is “no task too big or smallâ€'. Deb spends her days making sure our partners and speakers have everything they need and she never forgets the difference that the little details make (she's been known to sneak into a room or two to hide a gift!). She gets so many rave reviews and gushing emails from speakers and partners we're worried she's getting a big head.

Did you know: Deb is a long time celebrity spotter and has rubbed shoulders with the likes of the Kardashians, KC from KC and the Sunshine band and even Magic Mike (woot woot)!

Danielle Lorusso Danielle Lorusso – Community Manager

Dani is one person who knows how to work a room. She networks like it's going out of fashion and has an uncanny ability to juggle a champagne glass, a couple of canapes and hand out a business card all at the same time. She's worked incredibly hard to get plenty of bums on seats at this year's event and will do (almost!) anything for the HR Tech Fest community.

How to keep her happy: Let her have a sleep in! Dani is a mum to 3 beautiful kids so sleeping in is certainly a distant memory.

Lloyd Healy Lloyd Healy – Digital Marketing

Every time you visit the HR Tech Fest website, open the app, read a tweet about HR Tech Fest, think of Lloyd. The digital Wizz Kid, Lloyd makes sure you're all well informed about the latest developments around HR Tech Fest's agenda, speakers and sponsors.

Fun fact: Lloyd moonlights as a DJ on weekends under the pseudonym Felix Lloyd.

Val McMullan Val McMullan – Events Coordinator

Val's smiling face is probably the first you'll see at HR Tech Fest (lucky you!) She runs the event registration desk and makes sure we all know who's who and what's what. She also coordinates the all-important research groups to uncover the most pressing issues that face HR Tech Fest community.

Fun fact: The song that is guaranteed to get her on the dance floor: “I Will Surviveâ€'

Adam Beer Adam Beer – Community Manager

You may have heard his posh British accent down the phone line, espousing the benefits of HR Tech Fest or recognise his face from LinkedIn. Adam has been working round the clock to bring together like-minded people to come to the event and has done a stellar job at building our amazing HR Tech Fest community.

How to keep him happy: Beer by name and by nature, Adam is happiest with a pint in hand. Thankfully he's been in Australia long enough to let go of drinking warm beer.

Stephanie Sandbrook Stephanie Sandbrook – Marketing Manager

Steph only has two settings- fast and running around like a headless chook. It's a good thing too as she's charged with the daunting task of coordinating the marketing for HR Tech Fest. From the beautiful brochures that land on your desk to the carefully crafted emails that pop up from time to time, Steph continues to find innovative ways to highlight all the best bits of the event.

Fun fact: Steph knows her way around a fondue pot- she lived in Austria for over 5 years.
