Keynote | Too Much (irrelevant) Information: overcoming digital fatigue and other tech-induced afflictions
Your (ancient) brain wasn’t designed to consume this much data daily! Learn to manage the digital deluge of (mis/dis) information and live more aligned to your neurobiology.

TMI is information overload aka ‘infobesity’. We live in an information, data and content rich world and our ancient brains are struggling to keep up with our daily consumption patterns. Most of us follow hundreds of people (who we’ve never met!) on social media and peep regularly into their lives. We receive messages and communication across dozens of channels, the news cycle rapidly lurches from disaster to disaster and works hard to seize our attention. We’re commonly sleeping less while trying to do more in our 24-hour days. All whilst wondering why we’re waltzing with burn-out and regularly fatigued!

This keynote session asks ‘Is information overload driving some of the anxiety and the brain fog that many people feel?’, we explore whether ‘digital dementia’ is shifting our memory abilities and delve into practical ways individuals and teams can streamline effective communication and information management.
It is an adaptable 60 session that will explore the contemporary challenge of what ‘too much junk information on our mental wellbeing.

Key Learnings

  1. Uncover and identify the sources and volume of information/misinformation we consume.
  2. Learn how to understand the characteristics of our ‘cognitive operating systems’, its limitations, and links to physical wellbeing.
  3. Explore how information overload is impacting our cognitive load, working memory and, potentially, levels of anxiety.
  4. Identify ways that individuals and teams can streamline and support effective
  5. communication and information management.
