Kim Nicholas is an accomplished people and systems leader with over a decade at The Warehouse Group, one of New Zealand’s largest retailers. As GM – Talent Acquisition, HR Systems & Payroll, Kim oversees a workforce of 12,000+ employees across multiple brands, leading strategic talent acquisition, payroll operations, and enterprise-wide HR technology transformation.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer and a member of TWG’s senior leadership team, Kim leads a 24+ person team across Talent Acquisition, HR Systems & Data, and Payroll. She has spearheaded the implementation of key platforms including Oracle HCM, SmartRecruiters ATS, and Phenom CRM—driving automation, data insights, and an AI-first approach to recruiting at scale.
Her leadership has been central to large-scale org redesigns, business-wide change management, and measurable improvements in hiring velocity and employer brand. Under her guidance, TWG has redefined how technology supports recruitment strategy and candidate experience.
Kim’s passion lies in building future-ready TA functions that combine system innovation, process excellence, and people-first leadership. Her track record of operational execution, stakeholder influence, and digital transformation make her a standout voice in the evolving HR tech landscape.
